Magdaline Bennett Perrett

Magdaline Bennett “Maggie” Clark, 76, a native of Hopewell, Mississippi and long-time resident of Franklin, died Sunday, July 27, 2003, at 5:05 a.m., at Franklin Foundation Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene S. Clark Sr. of Franklin; four sons, Johnnie Rex Perrett and his wife, Barbara, of Jena, James Robert Perrett and his wife, Jena, of Lafayette, Eugene S. Clark Jr. and his wife, Jean Ellen, of Highlands, Texas, and Ronald D. Clark and his wife, Elizabeth, of Franklin; one daughter, Brenda Perrett Boudreaux and her husband, Glenn, of Franklin; two brothers, Hughie Bennett and his wife, Ellen, and Robert Bennett and his wife, Carolyn, all of Florence, Mississippi; four sisters, Peggy Shaw and her husband, Charlie, of Florence, Linda Roberts and her husband, Royce, of Pass Christian, Mississippi, Kathy Bennett and her husband, Anthony, of Florence and Aline Mulligan of Florence; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her father, R.T. Bennett; mother, Lena Viola Grantham; two brothers, John W. Bennett and James Bennett; one sister, Christine Ponder; and her first husband, Johnnie L. Perrett.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Franklin for 45 years.

Visitation was Monday, July 28, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Ibert's Mortuary. Visitation continued Tuesday, July 29, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., at the First Baptist Church. Service was Tuesday, at 10 a.m., at the First Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Mark Guadin and Rev. Bobby Hodnet. Interment followed in the Perpetual Park Cemetery in Franklin.

Pallbearers were Dennis Mulligan, Keith Roberts, Mitch Clark, Ronald Clark, Patrick Schueneman, and Shane Gremillion. Honorary pallbearer was Glenn Boudreaux.

Arrangements entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary of Franklin.
