Hedgepeth Rites Conducted Today
Star, Jan. 24 — Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock for G. W. Hedgepeth, 86, who died at his residence near here this morning after an extended illness.
Rites will be conducted from the Antioch Baptist church with Rev. O. L. Byrd officiating. Interment will be made in the Antioch cemetery.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, J. G. Hedgepeth, Georgetown; W. E. and H. B. Hedgepeth, both of Star, and G. D. Hedgepeth, Florence; four daughters, Mrs. Eula Chappel, Vicksburg; Mrs. W. H. Purvis, Star; Mrs. A. C. Purvis, Lucedale, and Mrs. J. B. Ross, Bolton; two brothers, W. A. Hedgepeth, Monticello, and A. A. Ward, Harrisville.
Pallbearers will be: T. J. Lynch, C. B. Sandifer, E. J. Steen, J. L. Barlow.
