MAGEE, Jan. 14 - Death claimed one of the most beloved and most influential citizens of this county, in the passing of Mrs. Mellie Allbritton, who died at her home at D'Lo of an illness of long duration.
Mrs. Allbritton was 79 years of age at her death, and was the widow of the late William J. Allbritton who was one of the leading citizens of this community during his lifetime.
She as a member of the Baptist church of D'Lo from which place the final services were held, with interment in the Allbritton cemetery at Pinola.
She is survived by the following children: R. F. Allbritton of D'Lo; Mrs. Mary Williams of Houston, Texas; John Allbritton of Lake Valley, Ark.; L. A. Allbritton of Jackson; L. L. Allbritton of Houston, Texas; E. E. Allbritton of Edwards; Mrs. M. B. Dabney of Hernando; Enos L. Allbritton of Houston, Texas; N. C. Allbritton of Houston, Texas; Mrs. Ethel Adams of Houston, Texas.
She was also survived by four brothers and sisters, Mrs. Josie Grantham of D’Lo; Mrs. Frank Ross of D'Lo; L. F. Murray D'Lo, and W. T. Murray of Jackson; forty-four grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
