[Note: Unknown newspaper] MR. ARCHIE VAUGHN, OF CRENSHAW, DIES AT THE COUNTY HOSPITAL JUNE 6
Mr. Archie Clyde Vaughn, age 54, of Crenshaw, Miss., died at the Calhoun County Hospital, on Thursady morning, June 6, following an illness of six years. Funeral services and interment took place at Concord, on Friday, June 7, the services being conducted by Rev. G.C. Lee and Rev. Childress. Pallbears were J.P. Carter, Bryant Nix, Emory Cozort, Durell Cozort, R.D. Brown, and M.A. Brown with Pryor Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Vaughn, who was reared in the Camp Ground community, lived in the Ellard Community for some years and moved to the delta several years ago. He was a good citizen and was held in high esteem throughout this section.
He is survived by his wife, Gesna Brown Vaughn,, and the
following children; Bobby, Delma Gene, Cade and Troy Vaughn of
Crenshaw; Erma Ruth Vaughn, of Memphis; Mrs. E.E. Jones of Mobile,
Ala., and Mrs. Martin Perry of Pittsboro. A sister, Mrs. Phil Miller
of the Ellard community and a step-brother, Mr. Tom Black of Water
Valley, and a step-sister, Mrs. H.P. Bollinger, of the Parker-Salem
community also survive.
