Mrs. Sarah Anne Ruff, age 76, who lived about three miles west of Celeste, and beloved by all that knew her, died Wednesday afternoon, November 12, at five o'clock, following a long illness. The death of Grandma, (as she was formerly known), although not unexpected, came as a shock to her many friends throughout Hunt County.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church of Mount Carmel, conducted by the Rev. W.L. Aiken pastor of the ___Church of Wolfe City, and the Rev. Swearington. Burial followed in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Mrs. Ruff has resided in this section of the
county for twenty years, and was well known throughout the entire
county.
She was a splendid woman. She lived a beautiful life from youth on until God saw fit to call her home.
She was a good Christian, being a member of the Church of Christ, and before her ill health prevented, was a willing church worker. Many came to know her and to love her. She bore her suffering with heroism.

Celeste, Mr. Wilburn Ruff of Whitewright, Mrs. D. Shelton of
Rosedale, Okla., Mrs. _- Brownfield of Okla., Mrs. John Covington
