ALFORD: The Coffeeville Courier, page 24, Thursday, April 24, 2003
Cora Irene Alford, 76, homemaker, died Wednesday, April 16, 2003,
at her residence in Brookhaven. She was formerly of Calhoun County
and lived in Coffeeville for several years.
Funeral services
were Friday, April 18, 2003, at New Hope Baptist Church with burial
in the church cemetery with Bro. Johnny Davidson officiating. Parker
Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of services.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Coffeeville.
Mrs. Alford, the widow of John Jack Alford, is survived by four sons, William D. Kendall of Hazelhurst, Cecil Wayne Kendall of Callahan, FL., Larry Thomas Kendall and Johnny Ray Kendall, both of Odessa, TX.; one daughter, Beverly Jean Kendall of Brookhaven; one step-son, James D. Kendall of Robert Lee, TX.; two step-daughters, Robbie Cross and Katherine Arnold, both of Grenada; two brothers, Houston Melton and Wayne Melton, both of Grenada; 38 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert D. Kendall and a step-daughter, Bessie Harris
