Mr. J. M. Pyron Laid At Rest
Pittsboro Citizen Succumbs After
Long Illness--Died At Home of Daughter,
Mr. J. M. Pyron, age
77, died Friday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ernest Lane,
at Pittsboro. Funeral services were held at Pittsboro Sunday
afternoon, conducted by Rev. R. L. Breland of Coffeeville, pastor of
Pittsboro Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. R. E. Wasson, pastor of
the Methodist Church of Pittsboro, and interment was made in the
cemetery at Pittsboro, Pryor Funeral Home directed arrangements.
Mr. Pyron was a native of Montgomery County, but has lived in
this county for several years. He was a good citizen and was highly
respected wherever known. He was preceded in death by his wife only
a few years ago.
Surviving are three sons, Billy Pyron,
Greenwood; Andrew Pyron, Charleston; Homer Pyron, Clarksdale; by
three daughters, Mrs. Ernest Lane, Pittsboro; Mrs. Ada Green,
Ripley, Tenn; Mrs. Lela Blaylock, Steele, Mo; by one sister, Mrs.
Bransker, Indianola; by one brother, Andy Pyron, Duck Hill.

Mississippi Department of Archives and History. James Marlin Pyron
was my g-grandfather and I received this obit. when I got his Death
Certificate.
J. M. Pyron was married to Elizabeth Townsend
Pyron and she is buried beside him in the Pittsboro Cemetery.
