Cooper Rites Held Monday
Mrs. Grace Phillips Cooper died unexpectedly at her home in the Sarepta section last Friday night. She was 68.Born in Lafayette County, she had lived near Sarepta for 50 years or more.She was very active in church and community affairs.
Services were held at the Sarepta Cemetery Monday morning with the Rev. Floyd Brasher and the Rev. L. F. Haire officiating.Pryor Funeral Home was in charge.Pallbearers were L. L. Hellums,W. W. Hellums,C.W. Yancy, Carnes Dickson, Melvin Freeman, H.A. Newman.
Mrs. Cooper leaves her husband, Sim Cooper, Sarepta; a son,
Walter Glenn Coper {sic} Durham, N.C.; a sister, Mrs. Maude P.
James, Edenburg, Texas; a brother, W. J. Phillips, Pontotoc; and 2
grandchildren.
