      I'm looking for info on Kathryn Bernice ALFORD HEMPHILL. B.1899 or 1900. Don't know county. Married Robert Claude (Claudius) Hemphill. I believe that she had a sister several years younger than her who died in the 1970's or early 80's in Western MS. She was my maternal grandmother. All of my family is gone so have noone to ask.

      I am looking for information on James Council COOK (1817-1903), who lived somewhere in MS during the 1830s. James C. COOK married Ann (possibly ETHERIDGE) is MS in the late 1830s, and had the following children before moving to Autauga County AL about 1842: Ezekiel COOK, b. 26 Mar 1839, somewhere in MS; and John Cook, born 19 Apr 1841, also in MS. James C. COOk was probably born in SC. Any information would be appreciated.

      JORDAN,john 1800's in Mississippi only known info regarding my gg grand father is that on August 2, 1860 his wife (unknown) gave birth to their daughter, Mary Elvie Jane Jordan. Because of the date of birth, was so close to the time of the census Sept 3, 1860, I don't see to find a John Jordan with an infant girl. The non soundindexed 1870 censuses show multiple John Jordans, but so far no daughter Mary Elvie. Any info regarding John and his wife.
