Looking for information on Alma (Annie) E. Ellis B: Oct 18, 1850 D: Jul 24, 1941
married Adam Jones Holliday Jr. Oct 31, 1871 in Monroe Co, Ms. Son of
Adam Jones Holladay Sr. of Monroe Co, Ms. Her Mother was Annie E. Porter
and her Father was Bryant Ellis Family was from Raleigh N.C. Adam and
Alma had the following children listed on the 1880 census of
Abdereen,Monroe Co, District 1 Ms. They are Pearlee, Alice, Perle, the
other children to this marriage were Georgia, Nita, Adam Burr, William
all were born in Texas.

SIMS, WALKER, MC CLENDON, EDDINS, BROWN
My family came from the Sims Settlement in Limestone Co AL. My ggg grandparents
were Parrish and Kezziah Sims. Kezziah married Hon. Ovid P Brown in Columbus MS. My
gg grandparents were William Sims and Rachel Walker and g grandparents were Benjamin
F Sims and Mary McClendon whose parents were Charles McClendon and Fanny Eddins.
All of Columbus or vicinity. In "Southern-Born and Bred" it states that
Benjamin F Sims was the first sheriff of Monroe Co MS. The children of
Benjamin and Mary were Minnie who married Steward Brazelman Pipkin,
Milton, Sprat who married Narcissus and my grandfather Columbus Randolph
Sims. Whatever information anyone may have related to these families
would be so appreciated.

10/15/1850 in Monroe Co, Ms. lived around Darracott, Ms. had 11 children
was married to a Elizabeth Cook Jones father was Capt.John Holladay III
& mother was Mildred Thomas Holladay we think he is buried in Abbott

Sterling STONE b.1830 TN and Janey STONE b.1845 AL, d.1921? Lived in and
around Aberdeen, MS during 1870 - 1920. Their children were: Sterling
(FLAGG) b. 1845, Alice b.1861, Wesley, b.1863, Mary, Mattie, Frank,
George, Marion, John Henry. The older sister, Mary, returned "to the
Nation" around 1895-1900. Census of 1870 listed them in Monroe county.
Other ares where they resided were: Okolona, Coahoma, Clarksdale, MS.
Any information on: Wesley STONE b. 1863 and Anna(RICHARDSON)Stone b.1864
d.1920?. Anna was Chickasaw. Married Dec 24, 1884, Monroe County, MS.
Lived in and around Aberdeen, MS during 1870-1923. Children: Lee Anna,
b.1886, Sterling "Fleming" b. 1891, Frank, b. 1895, Margie Beatrice,
b.1901, Bracknorth b.1910. Other places of residence: Coahoma, MS.

Looking for info re Charles Partin/Parton/Parten who lived in Monroe County
during the 1850's and I do not know how long before. His wife was Ruth Cook(e),
both born about 1797 in NC. Charles died in 1854 and left property to the
children of Bennett Partin, in NC; I think Bennett was his brother, not certain.
Bennett also spent several years in Monroe Co., from 1854 to about 1860.
There may have been some business about Charles' estate. I am seeking
the parents of of Charles and Bennett; also the parents of Ruth Cook(E).

MITCHELL
hi, I am looking for information about a James Mitchell who was suppose to
have owned a Cotton Gin around the 1850or 60 in or around Armory MS. I
am told it was burned down and he moved his family to Texas. I would
like to know if there is any proof of this anywhere, probate records,

in 1869, and on to Kiowa Co. OK. Roxie mrrd Jeferson Davis Haskell in
Dallas TX. Aft his death, she went to OK mrrd J.T. Cox. T. W. Henson
died in OK in 1935. Roxie died in OK Apr 25, 1965.

I am looking for anyone who may have information on Christopher Columbus Sykes
of African-American descent born in 1903 in Aberdeen, MS. He was my
grandfather, I understand he had many siblings two of whom may be "Joe
Gus" and "Sarah. I have traced a Columbus Sykes back to the 1860 Slave

STOVALL
Hi, I'm trying to find information about my great grandfather
William Stovall III. I have done some research and this is the
information that I have so far. William's mother name was Hager
Stovall and he had eight siblings: Ida Stovall-Hardgrove, George
Stovall, Charity-Stovall, Annie Stovall-Buckingham,Henry Stovall,
Robert Stovall, Pauline Stovall, Virginia Stovall-Thompson.
He had six children Essie, Mary, William II,Katie, John and
Willie. All of his children are decease except my grand-
mother Essie Lee Stovall-Wallace. She still resides in
Aberdeen, Ms. I'm trying to make a family history book and
this is where my roots began. I have a picture of my great
grandfather William Stovall and his wife Emma Lou stovall.
I was hoping that I could make his siblings and their children
a part of my book. I would like to show how the generation
has change from generation to generation. If anyone can help

Looking for information on Nancy Sullivan that is listed in the
MS,Monroe CO, 1900 census living at Smithville. I would like to know if
she was born to John and Pheebe Bailey. Did she marry Henry Sullivan in
1860? There was not a name listed for the husband. The following children

Census said she had 10 living children. Could Newt,Joseph and John been

Hi, I'm looking for any info on an Isaac R. Dykes who shows up on the 1830 Monroe
