I believe that the Jos. C. Bullock listed in the 1840 census of Marshall Co. was my gg-gf (Josiah Crisp Bullock). However, the name of this person has also been read as John C. Bullock. Also, does Marshall Co. have a genealogy society? Members of the Crisp family were also present in 1840 Marshall Co. Would you have any information on them? Thanks, Ron Bullock (RBUL1865@aol.com)

I wanted to let you know some of the surnames I research which are associated with Pontotoc Co., MS: I'd also like to know if there are any old cemetery records which might indicate where STUART POGUE is buried. He died ca 1863 there in Pontotoc. I have reason to believe he might have been buried in the Samuel Vance Abernathy cemetery. Another researcher told me several years ago that years back when she checked on that cemetery there was a Pogue buried there. She also said hunters had damaged the gravestones by placing cans on top of them and using them for target practice. RDP
