As shown on most records. While the records for Nov. and Dec. 1862 shows him absent and the records for Jan. and Feb. 1863 shows him absent without leave with Co., A. 35th Reg't Mississippi Vol's, he is shown in 1863 first on the Hospital Muster Roll for French's Division Hospital, Lauderdale, MS as a patient and second with Brecteridge's Division Hospital No 2 at Lauderdale Springs, MS. as a patient. He was paid to Feb. 28, 1863 while at French's Division Hospital and to Oct. 31, 1863 at Breckteridge's Division Hospital.
The name of his parent unit is shown as Co. A., 35th Reg't MS Vol's. Apparently he did not desert. He was a patient at French's Division Hospital, Lauderdale, MS and patient at Breckteridge's Division Hospital No. 2, Lauderdale Springs, MS.
