John Price McCracken served in the Armstrong Brigade. I also have a copy of the loyalty oath (post-bellum), which he signed, as well as his wife's application for a pension based on his service.

1862: Received money at Desoto County (Three vouchers) for articles and bacon provided to CSA soldiers and wives.
1865: May: Pvt. Company I, 2nd regiment, MS Cavalry, residence at Pontotoc, MS. Name appeared on roll of POWS of Company I, surrendered at Citronelle, AL, by Lt. Gen. R. Taylor, CSA to Major General E. R. Scanly, USA
May 4, 1865: Roll dated Columbus, MS, May 1865
