William Jurdan Jackson enlisted in the 5th Mississippi, Company I, Jul 1861 at Kemper Mississippi. He was captured at the battle of Franklin TN then sent to Camp Douglas, IL. While at At Camp Douglas, Jurdan enlisted in the US Vols 6 Company D Reg Infantry 23 Mar 1865.
