This page is designed to give you an idea of recent additions and changes made to the Covington County MSGenWeb site. New information is being added often and this list will tell you what's new and when it was added. • Added the Family Histories of the Miller and Smith Families.

June, 2008

• New pages added:
• Covington County Courthouse
• Collection of Jolley Family Letters, from the family of James Jolley, Jr who served as Covington County Sheriff for 14 years and County Treasurer for 8 years in the mid-1800s.
• Added a volunteer contact for African American cemetery look-ups to the Cemeteries page.
• Corrected this wild, momentary geographical shift that caused Jeff Davis County to mysteriously disappear and be replaced with Jefferson County. (It's the curse of that ole' Rootsweb Server, I tell ya!) Residents of both counties have undergone intense memory erasure and have no residual knowledge of the event.
• Made adjustments to the search engines.

• Added FreeFind Website Search Engine to the homepage make searching for a particular surname easier.
• New pages added:
  • Who to contact for Vital Records
  • A collection of transcribed Personal Letters and Documents of the Stewart and Barnes Families from 1813 to 1931.
  • Bible Records with the opening entry from a transcription of Zachariah Gieger's bible.

October, 2007

• Covington County Addresses updated with additional county addresses and contact information.
• Covington County Early Jurors updated with a different photograph (previous was cropped on the right) and more juror names.
• Contact names updated for the newly elected National and State Coordinators.

May, 2007

• All e-mail addresses coverted to html coding that avoids e-mail harvesting.
