- Added the (finally completed!) 1840 Federal Census to the Federal, State and County Enumerations page.

This is a complete transcription of the first available federal census for Carroll County, containing 779 heads of household with over 10,000 enumerated residents including free blacks and slaves. Each Head of Household links to a text file with complete enumeration data.

Vaiden Cemetery is now online. Dudley Rinicker has updated all burials in this cemetery through May, 2003. The complete index is over 1400 burials!

Again, I thank Dudley for his hard work on this completely new update to the Vaiden Cemetery. It contains many, many new burials since the last published index, and should be a great benefit to those of us seeking death information for family buried there.
