Jane Clark Family - submitted by John J. Hansen
William Smith appeared in Carroll County during the Civil
War. Family history says that he was born in Carrollton
in 1845, however records earlier than the Civil War cannot be
found to date. William Married Nancy Jane Clark, of the
Clark family that had been in Carroll County since 1838.
Nancy is buried in the Blackhawk Cemetery. William moved
to Texas in about 1892, and subsequently to Canadian County
Oklahoma where he lived out his life.. (read complete bio...)
