A.J. served as a private in the 20th MS. Infantry, CO. "I" during the C.S.A. He says he enlisted on or about April//May of 1861. According to a record from the
War Dept it shows he enlisted Dec. 9 1862 and the last showing was Nov and Dec. 1863. He was
discharged after the surrender.
