I am researching the HUBBARD family who lived in TALLAHATCHIE and PANOLA counties after c. 1810. More particularly, John Carraway Hubbard II from Marlboro Co., S.C. by way of Montgomery co., Tenn.; his son Richard Floyd Hubbard; and R.F. Hubbard's son John Carraway Hubbard III, who moved to Polk co., Texas after the Civil War. I will be glad to exchange information with anyone who has material on this family. Thank you

Wanda Lee catbells@hcinet.net I am searching for the Brians who lived in this area. Mary Magdelena ( Mollie) Brians was my ggrandmother. She married Henry S. Martin. They are buried in Bethel Cemetary along with her parents Thomas F Brians and Harriet E. Davis both of Carrabus, NC. Also buried are some children-Abbie Grace(m John Grace) and 3 young daughters and Lena Martin. Thomas H Brians a brother and his family are buried nearby. My question is when did they arrive in MS and where did Mollie and Henry marry?

Neil and Elizabeth (CARVER)BEARD moved their family from Cumberland Co., NC to TALLAHATCHIE Co., MS in the early 1830s. I would appreciate hearing from anyone working on this particular family. They had the following children: Robert Carver BEARD (married Cornelia HAUSE); William Carver BEARD (b. 1815 in NC and moved to Texas in mid 1830s, married Mary Jane MAY of Yalobusha Co. in 1837); John Quincy Adams BEARD (b. 1827 and died in 1868); Elizabeth BEARD, (married a John FUNSTON and a Mr. ELLIS, died in about 1898); Mary Ann Carver BEARD, (apparently never married, died in 1880; Sarah "Sallie" Carver BEARD, (b. about 1815, married a Mr. Shaw, died in 1882); and Annie Carver BEARD, (married John M. DEMENT). Neil BEARD died in July, 1849 in TALLAHATCHIE Co. His wife Elizabeth, must have died prior to that. Any information or links to descendants would be appreciated. He was a carpenter, and belonged to the Masonic fraternity. They had 4 children, Theodore (1916), Doris (1925), Imogene (1929), and A. C. (abt 1936).
