Viola Sykes, 93, went to be with our Lord Sunday, April 25, 2010, at the Bedford Care Center of Mendenhall.

Visitation is 5-8pm today at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 10:00 am Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Antioch Baptist Church, Florence. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.

Mrs. Sykes was a longtime member of Antioch Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Sykes.

Survivors include sons, Joe Sykes and wife, Bonnie of Florence and Bill Sykes, Sr. and wife, Joyce of Porter, TX; sister, Etta Martin of Byram; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1198 Old Pearl Rd., Florence, MS 39073.
