FLORENCE — Mrs. Mable Edith Strong, 57, died Aug. 8, 1987, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Services are 3 p.m. Monday at Breeland Funeral Home with burial in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

A native of Sharkey County, Mrs. Strong had lived in Florence and the Jackson area for most of her life. She was a Baptist. She was the widow of John A. Strong, who died in 1976.

She is survived by her son, Bobby Ray Strong of Florence; daughter, Mrs. Linda Fitzgerald of Terry; and two grandsons.
