Baker, Wiley

Submitted by Len

Wiley and Charlotte Pamilia Baker of Neshoba County in mid 1840s thru 1890s.

Their children were:
Mary M. M. Baker, b. circa 1834, in Alabama, my g.g. grandmother, married J. J. N. Nash of Neshoba County
Thomas Baker b. circa 1839, in Mississippi
John Baker, b. circa 1848, in Mississippi
William b. 1850s, in Mississippi

Wiley Baker was born in 1804 in SC and his wife Pamelia was born around 1812 in Tennessee. They were living in Alabama at least by the mid 1830s before moving to Noxobee County, MS where they appear on the 1840 census. By 1850 they were living in Neshoba County. I believe that Wiley Baker died in the 1860s as he is no longer listed in the household but his wife Charlotte Pamilia Baker is listed alone with her youngest son on the 1870 census.

I believe that son William or John married and had children as my grrandfather had an Aunt Alice Baker. I know some of the Bakers moved to Texas in the 1890s-1910s.
