This indenture made and entered into, this 21st day of November, 1849, between James J. Boyd and wife Sarah Boyd, William Clark and wife Elizabeth J. Clark, Z.P. Clark and wife Amelia E. Clark, and Isaac S. Thompson and Pheobe L. Thompson, of the first part; and L.N. Creswell, of the second part, all of Carroll County, Mississippi witnesseth; That the party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred twenty five dollars to them in hand, sold and released unto the said party of the second part, his heirs, and assigns, all their right, title, claim and interest in and to the following described tract or parcel of land, to wit: The S ½ of the W ½ of the SW ¼ of Section 15, Township No. 20, Range 3E to have and to hold the same unto the party of the second part, his heirs et.al. forever. And the party of the first part, will warrant and forever defend the right and title to said tract of land, against themselves, their heirs, et.al., but against no other person.
In testimony whereof, the parties of the first part, have hereunto set their hand and seals.

The State of Mississippi, Carroll County: Personally appeared before the undersigned, an acting Justice of the Peace for said county,
James J. Boyd and wife Sarah Boyd, Wm. Clark and wife Elizabeth J. Clark,
Z.P. Clark and wife Amelia E. Clark, Isaac S. Thompson and wife Phoebe L. Thompson, above named, acknowledged that they signed, sealed and delivered the foregoing deed, as their act and deed; and the said Sarah Boyd wife of James J. Boyd, Elizabeth J. Clark wife of Wm. Clark, Amelia E. Clark wife of Z.P. Clark, Phoebe L. Thompson wife of Isaac S. Thompson, being by me examined, separate and apart from their said husbands, acknowledged that they signed, sealed and delivered the said deed, freely and voluntarily, without any fear, threats, or compulsion, of or from her said husband.
