Query posted March 22, 2005 I'm looking for the Father of William Pruitt.William was born in 1846 (aprox.) His mother Mary married Henry Matthews in Carroll Co. in Dec. 1847. I have been told William was born in Carroll County but haven't been able to to prove it. William enlisted in the 20th Missippi regiment in Carrollton (Carroll Guards) in 1861. William married Fannie Stallings after the Civil War. 1880 census has them living in Blackhawk. William and his family moved to Texas around 1890. Any information on William T.
