Obituary of Nobia Herndon

    Mrs. Nobia Herndon, 83, of Coila, died of heart failure Oct. 24, 2001 at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona. She was a housewife and a member of Bethel Christian Church were she served as an usher, and she was a member of Christian Women Fellowship Organization.

    Funeral services were held Oct. 28 at Bethel Christian Church in Coila. Burial was at the church cemetery with Elder James Devine officiating.

    Mrs. Herndon is survived by her husband, Mr. Coleman Herndon Sr. of Coila; four sons, Coleman Herndon Jr., Obadiah Herndon, Richard Herndon, all of Coila, John Edward Herndon of Greenwood; two daughters, Lue Alice Woods, Alma Rias, both of Coila; one sister, Lula Lee Fluker of North Carrollton; 36 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

    Sanders and Sanders Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of the arrangements.
