Merrill's Store, Carrollton Mississippi (2004)
Click on photo to view full size This is Merrill's Store in Carrolton. The date to the right side of the door indicates it was established in 1834. This store is on the south side of the Courthouse square. Thanks Jackie for submitting this photo. ___________________________ Update: As of September 2009, this store is being renovated and restored to be a Museum for U.S. Representative and 2008 Presidential Candidate John McCain from Arizona. The McCain family has roots in northern Carroll County. The photo below was taken in Sept. 2009. (Contributed by John J. Hansen)
