Annie Elizabeth Thompson, 79, passed away Monday, October 26, 2009, at Willow Creek Nursing Home in Byram.

Visitation will be 5-8 pm Thursday, October 29, 2009, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Graveside services will be 11 am Friday, October 30, 2009, at New Hebron Cemetery in New Hebron, MS.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Hazlehurst, MS to J.D. and Rushell Hutson Hydrick and a long time resident of Jackson. She was a partner with her husband in Thompson Air Conditioning and Heating and member of Forest Hill United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Merlin Langston Thompson; son, Sonny Joe Merlin Thompson; and grandson, Hayden Thompson.

Survivors include sons, Bud Thompson of Terry and Tommy Jay Thompson of Madison; daughter, Linda Thompson Talley of Raymond; brother, Tom Hydrick of Forest; sister, Lavonne Chamblee of Florence; grandchildren, Celeste Sutherland, Casey, Trey, Hunter and Haley Thompson and Zachary and Ryan Talley.
