Services for Plez Crane of Brookhaven were 11 a.m., Thursday, at Antioch Baptist Church in Lawrence County with burial in Antioch Cemetery. Harrigill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Crane, 88, died Aug. 5, 2003, at King's Daughters Medical Center. He was born in Lincoln County on May 14, 1915, to Wyatt Crane and Evie Crane.

He was a retired rural postal worker and farmer. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church for 62 years and served as a deacon for 58 years. He was a mason with the Fair River Lodge.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Pauline McGuffie Crane of Brookhaven; his daughter and son-in-law, Bertile and Bill Beasley of Brookhaven; his sons and daughters-in-law, James Earl and Anna Crane, and Charles R. and Wanda Crane, all of Brookhaven; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
