Mrs. J. S. Blackwell's Death Mourned.

Monticello, Miss., Oct. 1. - Lawrence county relatives and friends mourn the death of Mrs. J. S. Blackwell, 76, esteemed resident of the county for about 60 years, who died at the family home in the Center community near this place.

About two weeks ago, Mrs. Blackwell had a fall in which she suffered a broken hip and injuries from which she did not recover.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Antioch Baptist church with her pastor, Rev. B. E. Phillips of New Hebron and Rev. J. J. Terry of Center, conducting the services. Interment was made in the Antioch church cemetery.
