I am looking for information regarding the marriage of James Bird McKnight
Nance and Mary Arbella Norton. They were married 13 Nov 1874 in Tippah
County. He was b 23 Sep 1852 and d 13 Feb 1891 in Lampasas Co. TX. She
was b 13 Sep 1858 and d 14 Jun 1921 at Winters, Runnels Co., TX. I have
quite a bit of info on them after they came to TX in 1874 if anyone needs
info.
She was the dau of James Washington Norton. He was the son of James
Bird Nance and Margaret Isabel Hill. All lived in Tippah County. Thanks

I am looking for any information pertaining to the William Norwood
family that lived in Tippah County in 1840 or the Joseph SMART family that
lived in Tippah County in 1850. I believe that the Joseph SMART family
moved to Tippah County about 1846. It is possible but not proven that one
of there son's, Thomas SMART married one of William NORWOOD's daughters,
Mary NORWOOD about 1846. The Thomas SMART and William NORWOOD families
would have moved to Cass County, Texas also about 1846. Any help would
be greatly appreciated
