was brought by Elder H. T. Rowland against Brethren C. C. Thornton

pastor of the Church; which subject was discussed at some length
and continued to next meeting.

4th Sunday in October, 1882.

a song together, broke up in love.

The Church at New Salem, Tippah County, Mississippi, while in Conference
on Saturday before the 2nd Sunday in September, 1891 appointed a committee
to draft some words in her behalf of her high esteem and Christian love
for him as a Memorial of our dear departed Brother B. C. Butler, we as
a Church esteemed him as an humble and exemplary Christian and he was also
an able and delightful example of the truth as it is in Christ Jesus.
We as a Church feel that our loss is great At the same time, we feel
satisfied that our loss is his Eternal gain. We as a Church deeply
sympathize with the heat stricken and bereaved wife and children.
We truly discern that the God of all grace will take care and provide for
the. The above report was read and committee discharged.
5th - Proceed to elect delegates to attend the Association which will convene
with the Church at Providence, 14 miles North-east of Corinth, Mississippi

in September, 1892. After preaching by Brethren Reed and Cox, we
went into communion, with humbled selves to wash each other's feet as the
Good Lord said ye ought to do and good feeling was manifested. An
orderly congregation attended with good behavior and may the Lord bless
each one in attendance.

On Sunday following, Church met at the water for the purpose to baptize
Brother Camering and give an opportunity where upon Sister Martindale came
forward and related her experience, was received and baptized. The
right hand of fellowship was extended after baptizing. Returned to
the meeting house and able discourse delivered by our pastor.

According to previous appointments, the Messengers from the different
Churches met in Union with New Salem Church, Tippah County, Mississippi.
On Friday before the 2nd Sunday in August, 1893, the introductory sermon
was delivered by Brother C. F. Reed and a discourse by Brother Shirley,
after which the Union was called together by Elder C. F. Reed.
1st - On motion and second , Brother J. B. Cottle was chosen to act as
Moderator and W. C. Norton, Clerk.
2nd - Agreed to hold our next Union Meeting with the Church at El-El Bethel,
Union County, Mississippi, 11 miles South of Ripley, commencing on
Friday before the 1st Sunday in August, 1894. Chose Brother J. B.
Cottle to preach the introductory sermon and Brother C. F. Reed,
alternate.
3rd - Appointed a committee of arrangements for the Union Meeting as follows,
the preachers to act as the committee.
4th - Agreed to hold our next Association with the Church at Pleasant Hill,
six miles North of Ripley, Tippah County, Mississippi, to commence
on Saturday before the 2nd Sunday in October, 1894.
5th - The Union Meeting closed to meet Saturday morning at 10:00 O'Clock.

in August. 1896. Preaching by the pastor. Services closed to
meet at 11:00 O'Clock on Saturday. On Saturday, the Church met at
the appointed time preaching Brethren G. C. Nance and ??? after which sat
in conference.

County, Miss., the following Brethren was appointed to with:

It being our regular time for our communion meeting , the Church
agreed to partake of the supper and wash each other's feet. On Sunday,
the Church met. Preaching was by our pastor to a well behaved congregation,
after which we partook of the Supper then in humble submission to the Master's
command, washed each other's feet. We then sang a song in praise
to our Heavenly Master while taking the parting hand and then went out.

the Supper. Supper being ended, the Church humbled themselves
to wash each others feet as the Master said, "Ye ought to wash one
