Pryor Family Cemetery
This information submitted by Mr. Van Milam who reported that over the years the stone had been broken but recently the several pieces had been assembled and copied.
This single slab, about seven feet long, was the only stone found in the pasture under the branches of an old cedar tree, on what had been the old Pryor farm. All of the following names of Mr. Pryor's wife and children were carved on the single stone even though they are not believed to be buried here.
This land is now owned by the Grady Family and is in the vicinity of the New Hope Cemetery, about 6 1.2 miles northeast of Independence.
The information about the Pryor Family Cemetery was submitted by Mr. Van Milam and was published in Tate Trails Volume V Number 4 page138, 1987.
