Box 408, Carrollton, MS 38917.   Cost-  $15.00 + $3.00 shipping.   This book has every veteran from Tallahatchie Co., MS starting with WW1 includes a few American Civil War Soldiers.
  2. "Cemeteries of Tallahatchie County, MS",  compiled by Helen E. Staten Arnold and Nick Denley.  Contact: Pioneer Publishing Co.,  P.O. Box 408, Carrollton, MS 38917.   Cost-  $38.00 + $5.50 shipping & tax.   This book has 92 cemeteries, with inscriptions giving name, date, service information, and sometimes relationships such as "Mother". A few also name the descendants children or give place of birth. The locations of the cemeteries are also described. Even though this book is primarily cemetery inscriptions, the authors go beyond the norm by including information on the towns in Tallahatchie County, folklore, and stories by past and present residents of the county, making this a most entertaining as well as informative history of the county. The authors are both natives of Tallahatchie County, Nick Denley is Chancery Clerk of Tallahatchie County at this time(1998). Tallahatchie Co., MS .
