ROBERSON, ROBERTSON posted by Morgan Johnson on Saturday, July 12, 1997 I am searching for Nancy "Mahalia" ROBERTSON. I have seen her family's name spelled Robertson, Robinson, and Roberson. Nancy was born 18 June 1865 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. She married Warren B. Morgan in Rapides Parish, LA (he was probably from MS, too). She died 12 June 1943 in Alexandria, Rapides Parish, LA. Her father is listed on her death certificate as Charles ROBERSON. Anyone know of this family? BARDWELL, KROUT posted by Kit Beach on Tuesday, July 22, 1997 Please help me find my great-grandparents. Rosa Lee KROUT was born in 1860, place unknown. She married Robert Benjamin BARDWELL in 1898. She died in Meridian, Mississippi, around 1940 and is buried in McComb, Mississippi. Robert Benjamin BARDWELL was born in Brookhaven,Mississippi, in 1868. He died on December 30 or December 31, 1931, in Meridian, Mississippi and is buried in McComb, Mississippi. He worked for the New Orleans Northeastern Railroad for many years and was prominent in the 41st Avenue Baptist Church in Meridian, Mississippi. I suspect that both these people were residents of surrounding states such as Alabama and Louisiana at different points in their young lives. I have been very unsuccessful in finding much information about them such as their parents' names, birth records, etc. I have nothing more than what I have given you here. If anyone has any information whatsoever or if you think you can suggest a helpful next step, please let me hear from you soon. Molly was married (1) Gus Woods, a Civil War Vet, and (2) Ernie Gilespie or Eglespie. Molly & Ernie had one daughter, Geneva. Molly & Ernie had a close friend, Jesse Laird, that lived with them when they were first married. I know this is a "shot in the dark" but Jeseby's dgt & gr/dgt are desperate for help. We were told Jeseby died in 1940's in Whitfield Mental Hospital. We need Jeseby's parents names, dates, death records. If we knew where they were buried we might be able to find Jeseby's grave.
