George County, MS is located in the South East Corner of MS. It is bordered by Mobile County, AL to the east, and the Mississippi counties of Perry and Stone to the west, Greene County  to the north, and Jackson County to the south. George County was formed in 1910 from Jackson and Green Counties. For research prior to 1910,  check Greene County and Jackson County.
Three rivers flow through the southwest corner of George County, the Pascagoula, Red, and Black rivers.
The County Seat is Lucedale.
