Madison Washington, 72, died Friday at Washington County General Hospital in Greenville after an illnes.

Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Wednesday at Pilgrim Home Baptist Church in Greenville.  Rev. carl Jordan will officiage.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville.

Edwards & Evans Funeral Home has charge.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mattie Lee Washington of Greenvile; two daughters, Mrs Lucindia Watkins of Chicago, Ill., Mrs Nettie Jackson of Greenville; two brothers, Mose Washington, Sr. of Greenville, William Washington of St. Louis, Mo.; 13 grandchildren ; eight great-grandchildren.
