Filed for record 11 1/2 o'clock A.M. Sept 15th A.D. 1873
This deed of conveyance made and entered into this the 15th day of
September A.D. 1873 by and between David Doyle of the County of Scott
and State of Mississippi party of the first part and A. McCoy of the
County of Newton insaid State. Party of the second part witnesseth that
the said party of the first part has this day and by these presents,
granted bargained and sold unto the said party of the second part the
following described lands to wit:
The North East Quarter of section Thirteen Township Six
Range Nine East in the said County of Scott and also the
West half of the South West Quarter of Section Seven and
The North East Quarter of North West Quarter and the West
half of North West Quarter of Section Eighteen, all in
Township Six Range 10 East in the said County of Newton
at and for the consideration of Fifteen Hundred Dollars payable as follows
to wit:the sum of Seven Hundred and fifty Dollars to be paid cash the sum of
Three Hundred and seventy five Dollars payable on the first day of January
A.D. 1875 and the sum of Three Hundred and Seventy five Dollars payable on
the first day of January A.D. 1876 each bearing interest at the rate of 10 %
from the 1st day of January A.D. 1874 to have and to hold the said lands
to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever and the
said party of the first part for himself and his heirs convenants and agrees
with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that he will
warrant and forever defend the title of said property to them against the
legal claims of all and any persons whomsoever.
It is further understood that the vendor's lein is hereby retained
as a security for the payment of the purchase money herein set forth as
unpaid.In testimony hereof the said party of the first part has hereunto set
his hand and seal the date first above written.

Scott County Personally appeared before me W. A. Lack, a
Justice of the Peace in and for said County. Daniel Doyle who acknowledged
that he signed sealed and delivered the foregoing deed on the day and year
therein mentioned as his act and deed.

(The land in Scott County appears to be just north of Lake, near a Dennis
Settlement and containing a Polar Creek, and very near the Newton County
line.)
