Services for Frances R. Ivy were to be held today at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Jamie Lamoreaux and Marvin Holyfield officiating. Burial was to be in Hickory Grove Cemetery. 
 

Mrs. Ivy, 80, of Lauderdale, died Saturday, June 1, 2002, in her home. She was a Baptist. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and friend. 
 

Survivors include her husband, Wilma W. Ivy of Lauderdale; a daughter, Cynthia Rawson and her husband, Billy, of Meridian; a granddaughter, Blair Rawson of Meridian; a sister-in-law, Syble Holyfield and her husband, the Rev. Marvin Holyfield, of Pascagoula; several nieces, nephews and cousins. 
 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mr. H.P. Rawson and a son, George P. Ivy. 
 

Pallbearers will be deacons of Briarwood Baptist Church. Her nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Ms. Shaw, 96, of Cuba, died Sunday, June 2, 2002, at Sumter Health and Rehab Center in York. 
 

Survivors include two sisters, Nadine McElroy of Cuba and Sara Smith of Holt.

Mrs. Stott, 93, of Meridian, died Saturday, June 1, 2002, at Benchmark Healthcare Center. She had been a member of First Baptist Church since moving to Meridian from North Carolina in 1992. 
 

Survivors include her son, Herbert Stott and his wife, Edna, of Meridian; and three grandchildren, Gregory Reid Stott, Brett Van Stott and Carol LeeAnn Doyle. 
 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Milton Stott; a brother, Vernon Hinton; and two sisters, Mavis Penny and Elizabeth Faison.

Mrs. Bozeman, 82, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, June 2, 2002, at Neshoba County Nursing Home. She was a retired supervisor for Wells Lamont. 
 

Survivors include her daughters, Pat Chisolm and Judy McMillan, both of Philadelphia, and Sylvia Hardy of Northport, Ala.; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Herman Sullivan and Redmon Sullivan, both of Philadelphia; and a sister, Ann Willis of Denver, Colo. 
 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Okla Bozeman and a son, Billy Bozeman.

Mr. Martin, 77, of Meridian, died Monday, June 3, 2002, at Riley Hospital. He was a retired sales representative for Thomas J. Lipton, Inc. He was a member of the U.S. Army, having served in the Okinawa campaign. He was a member of Druid Hills United Methodist Church and Lipton Quarter Century Club. 
 

Survivors include his wife, Doris Burnett Martin of Meridian; a daughter, Susan Kay Cumberland and her husband, Luke, of Meridian; a son, Bruce Martin and his wife, Julie, of Meridian; a sister, Mildred Martin of Meridian; grandchildren, Annie Kay Cumberland, Kathryn Elizabeth Martin,and Sara Elyse Cumberland. 
 

He was preceded in death by his parents, I.E. and Ruth Martin; brothers, L.E. "Gene" Martin and Chester Martin.

Mrs. Boyd, 100, of Enterprise, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002, in Meridian. Mrs. Boyd would have celebrated her 101st birthday June 5. She was a member of Stonewall Baptist Church. 
 

Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy Moore and her husband, Lamar, of Enterprise; a son, Howard Boyd of Northport, Ala.; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews 
 

She was preceded in death by husband, John W. Boyd, her parents, Henry Goldman and Sara Elizabeth Phillips Goldman; four brothers, James, Johnny, Clarence and Arthur Goldman Sr.; three sisters, Irene Hudson, Claudia Mae Wilkins, and Ethel Gunter; and a daughter-in-law, Vandella Boyd.

Mr. Beck, 89, of Meridian, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002, in his home. He was a World War II veteran. 
 

Survivors include his wife, Dot Beck of Meridian; a son, Ronald Beck and his wife, Dora, of Collinsville; two grandchildren; two sisters, Annie Mae Tucker of San Antonio and Iva Rainer of Meridian; a brother, Raymond Beck and his wife, Ruth, of Ft. Smith, Ark. 
 

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Beck and Chester Beck.

Mr. Woodham, 56, of Meridian, died Monday, June 3, 2002, in his home. He was a native of Gulfport and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a painter in the Meridian area for more than 30 years and attended Marion Baptist Church. 
 

Survivors include his daughters, Stefane Woodham and Angela Massey and her husband, Jason, all of Meridian; four grandchildren, Brittany, Brooke and Bennett Massey, and Elizabeth Cheshire; and his former wife, Kathy Woodham of Meridian. 
 

He was preceded in death by an uncle, Morris Nichols.

Arrangements are incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Elton Monroe Snowden, 92, of Meridian, who died Thursday, June 6, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. 
 

For 49 years, from 1937 until 1986, Mr. Snowden owned and operated the E.M. Snowden Shell Service Station at the corner of Sixth Street and 19th Avenue in downtown Meridian. 
 

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Almeta Covington Snowden of Meridian; two daughters, Dr. Gail Snowden Hasson and her husband, John, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Gloria Snowden Hilliard and her husband, Michael, of Agoura Hills, Calif.; a son, State Rep. Mr. Snowden, 92, of Meridian, died Thursday, June 6, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. 
 

E.M. Snowden was born at Center Hill on Feb. 21, 1910. A graduate of Center Hill High School, Mr. Snowden attended Mississippi Southern College in Hattiesburg before beginning his working life as a taxicab driver in depression-era Meridian. In 1937 he opened E.M. Snowden's Shell Service Station at the corner of Sixth Street and 19th Avenue in downtown Meridian, which he operated for 49 years until his retirement in 1986 at the age of 76. Snowden, one of Meridian's last "old time" service station men, was renowned for his work ethic and for the care and attention he gave to his customers. Children, especially, loved a trip to the service station because Mr. Snowden always would give them a free piece of bubble gum. 
 

Mr. Snowden was a faithful Christian, a Mason and a Shriner and for decades he was a loyal member of the Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and served as a Deacon. An avid sportsman, Snowden enjoyed bird hunting and fishing and in his later years came to love the game of golf. One of the earliest members of Briarwood Country Club, Mr. Snowden scored a hole-in-one at that course at the age of 82. 
 

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Almeta Covington Snowden of Meridian; two daughters, Dr. Gail Snowden Hasson and her husband, John, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Gloria Snowden Hilliard and her husband, Michael, of Agoura Hills, Calif.; a son, State Rep. Greg Snowden and his wife, Renee, of Meridian; two brothers, J.W. "Wilbur" Snowden of Center Hill and Tommy Snowden of Columbus, Ga.; six grandchildren, Dr. Holly Hasson-Griswold of Cumming, Ga., Alicia Hasson Parr of Olive Branch, Amber Christine Hilliard of Simi Valley, Calif., Aaron Paul Hilliard of Playa del Rey, Calif., and Emily Gay Snowden and Katharine Covington Snowden, both of Meridian; and five great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Johnathan and Anna Claire Parr, all of Olive Branch and Sharayah and Madison Griswold, both of Cumming, Ga. 
 

He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. "Buddy" Snowden and Emily Moore "Bird" Snowden of the Center Hill community in Lauderdale County and by two sisters and six brothers.

Mrs. McAlister, 85, of Meridian, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at Heartfelt Hospice. She was an active member of State Boulevard Baptist Church for more than 40 years, working with all age groups, from nursery to the adult classes in the church. 
 

Upon graduating from Martin School near Collinsville, she went to work at Marks Rothenberg in Meridian in the Receiving Department and would work part-time at Marks years later. 
 

After marriage and the birth of her children, she became a full-time homemaker. An excellent cook, seamstress and gardener, she focused on serving God and family all her life. 
 

Her love of baseball, due in no doubt to her husband and son's fascination with the sport, made her a devoted fan at games from Little League to Louisiana Tech college baseball. Known affectionately as "Mrs. Mc" she wore her lucky dress when the team was on a winning streak and was vocal at games when the batters or pitchers needed a special word of encouragement. 
 

Survivors include her son, Dr. Richie McAlister and his wife, Alma; a daughter, Sue Ammon and her husband, Jake; six grandchildren, Mandy, Richie, Katie and Rusty McAlister, Leigh and Paige Ammon, all of Collinsville; a sister, Madge Ethridge, of Collinsville; several cousins, nieces, nephews; and caretakers, LaHoma Gray, Rue Herrington and Alberta Irby.

A veteran of World War II, he graduated from officers candidate school in 1942. Mr. Jones served two years overseas with the Eighth Air Force. After completing his tour of duty, he graduated from Louisiana State University in 1949. He retired from Standard Supply & Hardware of New Orleans and was a member of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and taught Sunday School until 1990. 
 

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lorene Smith Jones of Meridian; a son, Victor G. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Graves.

Mrs. Watson, 46, of Meridian, died Friday, June 7, 2002, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was born May 21, 1956, to Mary L. Graves Moore and Willie Robert Graves. 
 

At an early age, Bonnie joined St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church in Pattison. After moving to McComb, she joined True Gospel Baptist Church. She later accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and was baptized at the Countryside Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Chris Parker in Meridian, where she remained a faithful member until her death. 
 

She was employed with the Northeast Elementary School as a SFA Tutor. 
 

On July 4, 1996, she was joined in marriage with Zachary Joseph Watson. From this union, three children were born Ronnie, Rakeith and Roshanda Watson. 
 

Survivors include her husband, Zachary of Nashville, Tenn.; her mother and stepfather, Mary Lee and Johnnie Moore of Pattison; three sons, Bryon Robertson, Rakeith Watson and Ronnie Watson, two daughters, Shawanda Reynolds and her husband, Vincent, and Roshanda Watson, all of Meridian; a brother, Ronnie Moore and his wife, Sarah, of Port Gibson; five sisters, Elizabeth Betty Brandon and her husband, William, Jimmie Rankin and her husband, Sam, Latina Williams and her husband, Darren Sr., all of Meridian, Willie Ruth Carter of Dallas and Virginia Dee and her husband, Joseph, of Pattison.

GULF SHORES, Ala. -- Graveside services for Earl Edwin "Duke" Hosey Sr. will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Bay Springs Cemetery with Baldwin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. 
 

Mr. Hosey, 90, of Bay Springs, died Tuesday, June 11, 2002, in Foley, Ala. He retired from the U.S. Army as a major in 1945. He served as a real estate broker in Bay Springs and as a U.S. Marshall. 
 

Survivors include two sons, Earl Hosey Jr. of Houston, Texas, and George Hosey of Jackson; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
