Members of the Old Hudsonville Church
Shadow of a Mighty Rock: A Social and Cultural History of Presbyterianism in Marshall County, Mississippi by Rev. R. Milton Winter (Submitted by Rev. Winter) Ordering information for "Shadow of a Mighty Rock" is located on the Bibliography page. Please direct all questions regarding this appendix or the book to Rev. Winter at the phone number listed on the Bibliography page. This list is compiled from the session minutes and church registers of the Hudsonville Presbyterian Church. Names are spelled as written in the records at the time an individual was originally received into membership. It should be remembered that in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries many persons attended churches who, for various reasons, did not seek formal affiliation. Such persons were termed "adherents" of the congregation and enjoyed most privileges of membership. The names of these persons were not recorded. Membership records are not available for the years 1852-1923. Names are listed as recorded in the sessional records. Bold face dates indicate the nineteenth century.
