Funeral Rites Held For Mrs. J. C. L. McPhail

Mrs. Sarah Eliza McPhail, 79, died Thursday night at the home of her son, Reatus McPhail of Carson, following an extended illness. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 4:00 o'clock from the Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. O. H. Petty officiating, assisted by Rev. Montie A. Davis, Rev. George Horne and Rev. W. T. Warring. Burial was made in the Antioch Cemetery with Saulters Funeral Home in charge.

Pall bearers were W. A. Bullock, Jr., Noel Dewitt, Ernest Sinclair, Bill Langston, Jimmie Delancy and Kyle Parkman.

Survivors include her husband, J. C. L. McPhail; three sons, Reatus McPhail, Hovis McPhail and Bill McPhail, all of Carson, one daughter, Mrs. Stanley Worthy, Brookhaven; two sisters, Miss Lela Garner, Miss Julia Garner, two brothers, John Garner and Jasper Garner, all of Carson.
