Hovis McPhail, Carson merchant, fatally stricken

PRENTISS - Hovis McPhail, 65, a Carson merchant, died Tuesday night at Jefferson David County Hospital of an apparent heart attack. Arrangements will be announced by Saulters Funeral Home.

Mr. McPhail was a member and deacon of Carson Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margie McPhail of Carson; two sons, Glenn of Prentiss and Ronald McPhail of the U.S. armed forces stationed in Germany; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry McClain of Monticello and Mrs. Gerald Jones of Jackson; four grandchildren; two brothers, Reatus and Byron (Bill) McPhail, both of Carson, and one sister, Mrs. Lillian Worthy of Jackson.
