Ollie Jones, 86, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, August 6, 2006, at Pleasant Hills Nursing Home in Jackson. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Jackson with burial in Antioch Baptist Church in Prentiss.

Mrs. Jones was born in Wesson and was raised in Jackson at the Baptist Children Village. She graduated from Central High School, Belhaven College and Baptist School of Nursing. She retired from the VA Medical Center in Jackson and was a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, A.D. “Bully” Jones in 1993; twin brother, Oliver Carpenter of Wesson; sister, Jewel Shaw of Richland.

Survivors include her sons, Jim Jones and wife Cheryl of Brandon, and Kenny Jones and wife Donna of Tennessee; grandson, Chris Jones of Brandon and step-granddaughter, Kristina Clother of Tennessee.
