Edd Evans Dies At Prentiss

PRENTISS - Edd Evans of Prentiss died at the Jefferson Davis County Hospital after suffering a stroke.

Rev. G. W. Horn of Sumrall was in charge of the service, assisted by Rev. Jay of Antioch Baptist Church and Rev. Roberts of Dublin Church.

Kenneth Evans is survived by his widow, Mrs. Miranda Garner Evans, two sons Grover of Prentiss and Robert D. of Jackson and one daughter, Mrs. E. E. Catha of Bogalusa, La.; a brother, Anderson of Silver Creek and a sister, Mrs. Eli Chance of Columbia, 5 grandchildren Elois Catha of Bogalusa, La., Mrs. Bill Collie of Calumet City, Ill., Robert Ray Evans, Sharon Lee and Mrs. John R. Hunter of Jackson and 6 great grandchildren.

Colonial Funeral Home of Columbia was in charge. Service was at Antioch Baptist Church and burial in the church cemetery.
