Declaration of William Barefield concerning the secret hunting and killing of cattle & hogs.
He had often heard of James Elliott and William Farebanks hunting with dogs and gun in the woods for hogs. Last Saturday he was at Farebank's house. Thinks Farebanks had in his smokehouse near a thousand weight of boryed bacon. At present he has seven hogs in his pen for fatting.
one of the seven carried Mr. Elliott's mark and one not marked.
He helped Mr. Richey kill his hogs and found a bowl of shot in one of them and cut it out.
