Henry Simon Stork, born 1845 at Barntrap Germany, near Detmold, in the Lippie region, came to America to Freeport, Illinois, with his mother, Fredricka Laumann Stork and 3 siblings, Caroline, Wilhelm and August Stork in 1859, after the death of their father, Jurgen Stork in 1856.

In 1862, Henry enlisted in the Union Army and remained until 1892, 30 years.
Henry married Feb. 16, 1874, at New Orleans, La.

Anna Mary Grusz, born 1857, in New Orleans, La, to Johann Bernhart (Bernard) Grusz and Agnes Holt, both from Oldenburg, Germany and residents of New Orleans, La, since 1855.
