Catherine Bishop Coronado, 90, died Saturday, January 17, 2009, at her residence. Visitation will be 5 p.m.-8 p.m. today at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at Morrison Heights Baptist Church Chapel on MacDonald Drive and 2 p.m. Tuesday at Antioch Baptist Church in Hazlehurst with burial in Antioch Cemetery.

Mrs. Coronado was a native of Hazlehurst where she graduated high school before going to Hinds Community College. She moved to Colorado in 1945 and spent the next 60 years there before moving back to Clinton in 2005.

She was a very active member of Trinity Baptist Church in Wheat Ridge, CO, for over 40 years and a current member or Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton.

Mrs. Coronado was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Virgil; her son, John; her parents; and her nine siblings.

She is survived by daughter, Paula Chambers and husband, Rob of Clinton; son, Carey Coronado and wife, Patty of Rand, CO; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
