MENDENHALL - Dorothy Conn Blanks, 89, died peacefully in her sleep, Sunday, April 27, 2014, after a brief illness.

Dorothy was born in Flora on April 28, 1924 to the late Clarence and Lois Echols. She was married to the late David Conn, Jr. for 39 years, and later was married to John Blanks, who also preceded her in death.

Dorothy was a successful commercial real estate broker in Jackson for 50 years, and owned her own agency, Conn Real Estate.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Dale Conn, sister, Ophelia Stillwell and grandson, Kevin Lance Conn.

Survivors include daughter, Deborah Conn Alley (Steve) and son, Donald Conn, Sr. (Tania); 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who were very special to her.

Dorothy will be greatly missed as a loving, caring and Christian mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She loved largely, gave freely and was loved by many.

Visitation will be held 1:00-3:00pm, Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services are 5:00pm in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Barlow, MS.

Memorials may be made to the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in Barlow.
