Above is a photo taken about ~1900, of my great grandmother Dicey Miller Brittain born 3/21/1849 Gallman, MS. Died 2/23/1930 Hazlehurst, MS. Pictured with her on her left is Mrs. Ellis (probably Georgia
Stapleton Ellis, wife of Issac Newton Ellis Sr. I assume that the man is Mr. Issac Newton Ellis Sr.) Dicey was the wife of Luke Lee Brittain , the picture was probably taken by her son-in-law E.R. Greenlaw a
professional photographer of that time. |
