Jack Wilbanks, 69
CORINTH-Funeral services for Walter V. "Jack" Wilbanks, 69, will be
today at 3 p.m. at Hatchie Chapel Church with Rev. Merl Dixon
officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 1994 at Magnolia Regional Health
Center. He was born in Alcorn County on Nov. 4, 1924 to Sherman and
Canzadi Burrow Wilbanks. He retired from the Carrier Products in
Memphis. He worked for the Mississippi State Highway Department for
several years. He married Ruby Burrow Wilbanks. She died April 3,
1982. He was a member of the Hatchie Chapel Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Dimple Wilbanks of Walnut; a
son-in-law, Billy Wilbanks of Walnut; one sister, Evelyn Barreca of
Corinth; grandchildren Amy and Steve Wilbanks, both of Walnut. He
was preceded in death by two sisters, Maud Duncan and Juanita Crum.
Visitation will be at the church until service time today.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Crum, Bingi Bright, Floyd Crum, Harvell
Spencer, Deion Mercer and Charles Wilbanks. Corinthian Funeral Home
was in charge of arrangements.
