MRS. WHITE SUCCUMBED SATURDAY
Mrs. Lula White,
85. of Route 2, Corinth, died in the Magnolia Hospital
Saturday, January 11th, at 3:45 a.m. She had been in failing
health for several years.
Mrs. White, a Baptist, was born in Spring
Valley, Alabama. She was the widow of John White
who died in 1943.
Funeral services were held yesterday at 3 p.m. in the
McPeters Chapel with the Rev. Douglas
Westmoreland of Jackson, Tennessee, and
Rev. P.A. Michel of Corinth officiating.
Interment was in the Henry Cemetery.
Mrs. White is survived by two sons, J.B.
White of Savannah, Tennessee, and Francis
Manning of Memphis; two daughters, Mrs.
Jane Johnson and Mrs. Roy Pardue
both of Corinth; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were H.L. Denton, R.C.
Rhoades, Leon Vandiver, Bernice
Alexander, Gene Mitchell
and W.C. Essary.
